Terms of use

Effective 16 October 2026

These terms apply when you use imanotes at imanotes.app. By signing in you accept them. Please also read the privacy policy, which explains how your data is handled.

Who provides the service

imanotes is provided by Jacek Skrzypczyński, Moszyce, 56-416, Poland (“we”, “us”), reachable at imanotes@proton.me.

What imanotes is

imanotes turns a short note into a minimalist image card. It suggests a folder and tags, generates the image with AI, and saves the note and the card in your own Google Drive. You can browse your cards in a gallery, and form circles — small private groups — with people you choose. imanotes is currently free of charge. Access may be limited — for example, to people with an invitation, or to a number of new accounts each day.

You need a Google account to use imanotes, and you must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Beta

imanotes is in beta: we are still building it, and it is free during the beta. Features, limits and how imanotes looks may change, and we cannot promise that it will always be available. Your feedback is welcome — tell us what to improve on the Feedback page, or write to imanotes@proton.me.

Your content

Your notes and cards are yours. You give us permission to process them only as needed to run imanotes for you: to check them, generate images, save them to your Drive and show them back to you. When you publish a card into a circle, you also allow us to store a copy of its image — and, if you choose, its tags and note text — and show it to that circle's members with your display name, until it leaves the circle.

Circles

You can be in at most 5 circles, including the ones you create. A circle's creator decides who joins; anyone holding a circle's link can see its name. If the creator leaves, the member who joined earliest becomes the creator, and a circle nobody is in is deleted. A circle's creator, and we, may take down a card published in it; its author is told. When you leave a circle or are removed from it, your cards in it are taken out. We may remove a circle whose name breaks the rules below; its members are told.

Any member can report a card in their circle that breaks the rules below. We review reports, aiming to do so within 48 hours, and may take the card down; its author is told, but never who reported it. A card you report is hidden from you from then on.

Acceptable use

Do not use imanotes to create or publish content — including a circle's name — that:

Do not try to break, overload or get around imanotes' limits and security, or access other people's data. We may suspend or end access for an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks them.

AI-generated output

Folder and tag suggestions and card images are produced by AI models. They can be inaccurate, unexpected or unlike what you meant, and similar images may be produced for other people. Check a card before you share it. imanotes may refuse to process a note that its automatic check flags as harmful or as an attempt to manipulate the AI.

Generation limits

Generating images costs money, so the number of images is limited — currently 10 per person and 300 across all of imanotes in any 24 hours — and a note can be at most 2,000 characters long. When an image limit is reached, imanotes tells you, your note can still be saved as text, and you can try again later. We may change these limits.

No warranty and limitation of liability

imanotes is provided “as is” and “as available”, without any promise that it will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Your notes are kept in your Google Drive, so keeping them safe also depends on your Google account.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for loss of data or content, arising from your use of imanotes. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

Ending your account

You can stop using imanotes at any time and delete your account in the app. The privacy policy describes exactly what deletion removes. Your notes and cards stay in your Google Drive. We may stop offering imanotes; if we do, we will tell you in the app in advance where we can.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Poland. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and if a change matters for how you use imanotes, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
